Most dogs never get their teeth brushed at home, which is why our professional teeth brushing service is so valuable. We use pet-safe enzymatic toothpaste — available in poultry and vanilla flavors that dogs actually enjoy — applied with a soft finger brush that is gentle on gums. The enzymatic formula continues working after the brushing session, breaking down plaque and tartar buildup between appointments. Regular professional brushing can significantly extend the time between expensive veterinary dental cleanings, which often require general anesthesia. We recommend adding teeth brushing to every grooming appointment, or scheduling it as a standalone service every 4 to 6 weeks. Between professional sessions, you can maintain your dog's dental health at home with daily brushing using a pet toothbrush and dog-safe toothpaste, dental chews approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council, and fresh water additives designed to reduce plaque. Our groomer will check your dog's mouth during each teeth brushing session and let you know if we notice anything that should be seen by your veterinarian, such as red or swollen gums, loose teeth, or unusual odor. Teeth brushing is a quick 10 to 15 minute service that makes a big difference in your dog's long-term health.
